That’s a nice question. Though im not planning to visit Singapore now, I would like to know what the customs officials do in such a case.

Checks are arbitrary.
Besides, our customs officers have a well honed sixth sense. They can pick up the "I’ve got porn in my notebook" vibe seeping out from your pores from a mile off.
