my brother passed away about 3 years ago, and he would build computers. he left all these parts behind, and most of them i can see he paid a lot of money for. i dont want to just give them away but i dont need them piling up in my house. almost all of them i dont know what there for or what they do….
any ideas what to do with them? where could i sell computer parts?
The perfect answer here is Craigslist.com
Look, you wont make a fortune and someone will get a great deal, but hey, they didn’t cost you anything anyway and if you dint know exactly what you are selling you should expect to take less than average. Put the lot on Craigslist for whatever amount you think is fair and when people come to look listen to what they think is fair. All will be happy.
Sorry about your bro tho.

Place an add in your local paper.

try ebay. but not knowing what the part is, then you cannot vouch for its functionality, so you probably would not make much money to speak ok, unless you sold them all as a "LOT", and then that is questionable. just hope that someone is willing to take a chance.

Sell them on eBay. Amazon, or put up an ad on craigslist.

Sell them on ebay. You can get an idea what they are worth before listing them by just checking current sale prices. Don’t know what it is? Do a Google search with the brand name and model number.

Sorry to hear about your brother. i would advise you to find a friend or someone you can trust that knows a lot about computers and have them make a list. You can then go on ebay research each part and get an idea what they are selling for. Also when searching on ebay click on advanced search and check Include Completed Listings.. This will show what sold and what didn’t and how much it sold for.
