This may sound nerdy but before school starts I always like to have a lot of organizational tools ready – and I find it kind of fun to go buy notebooks etc. LOL Ok I said I know it is nerdy….but any way…I was wondering what other organized people like to use for really heavy duty courses that will require a lot of paper work, etc.? If you could provide any links that’d be great.

I just use a regular folder for each class and a spiral notebook for each class. I think spirals are better than binders and folders with prongs. I also accidently rip the pages out of the binders.
Now if you want REALLY nerdy stuff…..I have a giant dry erase board hanging in my bedroom that I write important dates on and do my math homework on. It cost me 40 dollars, I’ve had it since middle school (7 years ago) and I swear it was the best investment I’ve ever made. lol.

Which of these touch screen laptop computers from HP is the newest?? The HP Pavilion Tx2000z, Tx2110us, or the Tx1000?? Please let me know the order they came out like from the oldest to newest! Which of these would be the best to buy?? Thanks so much!!!
Is there any other touch screen laptops that I don’t know about?? If so what are they called and where are they?

i dont know the age of the models, but i would say that the tx2000z is the best. it has the fastest processor. other then that they look like the options are pretty much the same. they will all be as fast as vista can be.

I noticed that my old laptops battery didn’t hold it’s charge anymore. It would have to be plugged in the entire time otherwise it would shut off and die right away.

With my new laptop, I want to make sure that its battery will hold it’s charge and last longer than my older one. What steps should I take or what should I do to make sure it will last?

Never leave the battery in your laptop when it’s fully charge and hooked onto the wall.

Once the battery is fully charge, take it out of your laptop unless you are going to power your laptop with it.

Try to always wait until the battery is low to recharge it as you will minimize the number of cycles (charging and discharging). laptop batteries have a limited number of cycles before they don’t hold a charge.

Hi, received this for my great nephew, it is an older style v tech childs laptop computer, ages 3-6, mouse is made onto the laptop, anyway, there is no instruction booklet, when you turn on the computer it instructs you to choose an activity.

Well, there are plenty of numbers with different activities on the the lid, by the screen, but I do not know how to choose an activity. I push activities and a number, nothing happens.

If anyone knows which one of the laptops I am talking about and knows how to choose activities I would appreciate, so would my hair, as I am pulling it out trying to figure this out!!!

thanks

we own one of those and you just push the number and then you push activities. if that doesn’t work then idk

Since ‘95 i’ve always soley bought PCs but I don’t care for them that much. I was wondering how good Mac computers are at gaming since I like to use my computer for gaming. Not games that need really fast computers or great video drives. Games like WoW(World of Warcraft).

For games that run on macs they are really good. They might be more expensive, but they last longer. My mac has everything on full graphics in WoW and I can still run Windows XP in the background with little lag. I have had 1 Dell, 1 HP, and 1 Gateway, and so far my mac is the best gaming computer that I have had. For PC games don’t use parallels, use Boot Camp. Parallels have a hard time using the graphics card for games sometimes.

We bought a Dell laptop, a HP laptop and a iBook G4 at the same time in 04. The Dell crashed completely two months ago. The HP was on its way out, so I reinstalled windows, and its really slow. The mac is still running and can even run WoW. I got a mac book pro and that is what I use now. I do like PC too, but to get one that is the same QUALITY, costs more. The only PC that I have actually used that is better with the same hardware is an Alien Ware. I have heard Acers are good, but I have not seen or used one before.

I want to compare the performance of the T series for laptops to these of of the E series of desktops. If I want an intel processor for a laptop that gives performance similar to these of a E4400 processor, which one should I consider?

go to

http://www.intel.com/products/processor/core2duo/specifications.htm?iid=prod_core2duo+tab_spec

there you can select desktop or laptop specification

Please help me and tell me what the best desktop computers are best for gaming. Thank you

intel core i7 is the best desktop for gaming

I want to find information about computer recycling. One piece I can not find reliable info on is what percent of computers recycled/donated are able to be refurbished and resold (within the US). The numbers I have found are <2%, 10% and 50%.

i’d guess that 50% or more can be salvaged.
however, it’s extremely difficult to find an operating system that will run very well (ie not be slower than a nematode) on older, slower, machines.

i would think that there should be a market for an operating system that has less function, and uses fewer cpu cycles.
unfortunately, such a system may well not be profitable.
a) because people will simply copy it and not pay, or
b) because people will not find the lack of much of the current function acceptable.

What is the best place to buy computer parts online for the lowest price? the place must have a phone number to call to purchase items because i don’t like pay pal!!

Newegg, without a doubt. They have contact information on their site, and they have the best prices.

I went to this computer specialist today. He deactivated some parts of the computer hardware. I need to reactivate it to get working in my universities network. Do anybody know how to make computer search for all the drivers and reinstall every hardware? I will be glad if you could tell me how to make computer search my wireless adaptor. Thanks.

To open the Add Hardware Wizard, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add Hardware.
